My name is Nikki Norris.
I have been taking photos since I could hold a camera, snapping Polaroids and blurry digitals as a young child in Texas. At the age of 11, I began to take it more seriously as a hobby, and I took my camera everywhere I went while also delving into portrait work, using my sisters as models. As a teenager, I started to experiment with self-portraits and that is when my style really began to develop. I used photography as an escape and a form of expression, which carried on into my adult life. My work now is primarily self-portraits exploring themes of horror, the occult, and the supernatural while evoking feelings of discomfort and intrigue.
I reside near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I spend my time listening to music and podcasts, baking, and exploring many different crafts.
Prints of my photos, as well as my other handcrafted creations, can be purchased in my shop.
"Norris, born in Houston, Texas, has had a lifetime love affair with the creepy. From growing up visiting cemeteries and hiding fake centipedes in her grandmother’s purse, to a burgeoning creativity that expanded into photography and other art forms during her teenage years, Norris went on to move to the Pittsburgh area at 18, where she now resides with her husband, dog, tarantula, and chickens."
