The Rainy Days of Spring
April 5, 2024Spring has arrived and it has been quite dreary so far. We have had several days of heavy rain in the hollow, flooding the grass and filling the creek, which rushes by loudly. The rain is sometimes interrupted by rays of sunshine or a burst of snow. The weather can’t quite seem to make up its mind, and while I love a gloomy day, I do crave the sunshine, especially after the long months of winter.
Recently, I’ve felt such a strong rush of creativity. I revived my instagram, where I’m working on uploading my backlog of photos. I’ve been shooting a bit, both photos and videos. I filmed a little video for tiktok the other day, which I will be uploading this evening. It’s nothing exciting or special, but it’s helped me get back into the swing of things. Another little project I have in mind is creating short youtube videos. Earlier this week, I put together some footage I filmed in September at the Living Dead Museum. I uploaded it yesterday to a channel I intend to make a sort-of vlog channel. It will probably lean more home-video-style than vlogs, if that makes any sense. I’m quite bad at filming regularly, so uploads will probably be sporadic, but it’s a project that I look forward to working on. I’ve realized in recent years that I really enjoy filming and editing videos.
I have so many ideas that I can’t wait to create. So many visions in my mind that I’m excited to bring to reality. It feels good to feel good again, to be inspired, to feel like myself, to go back to my roots, to create create create.
Until next time.
